Software Engineer (f/m)

Your tasks will be:

  • Design, implement and maintain software that meets highest quality standards with regards to robustness, testing and documentation
  • Participate in architecture and detail design phases when creating new software components
  • Provide effort estimates and regular status updates on planned or ongoing development projects
  • Support the other software engineers in the team with your technical knowledge and expertise
  • Support customers and/or partners by phone, email, messaging etc.
  • Work and interact with interfaces across the Business Unit and company-wide (i.e. Professional Services, Marketing, Sales)

We request:

Education

  • University degree in Computer Science (e.g. B.Sc., M.Sc., FH, ETH, Dipl.-Ing. TU) or comparable
  • Fluent in English and German

Experience/Skills

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial software development full lifecycle from requirement discovery to final closure
  • Exceptional SW development skills in Java, C++ on Linux, Solaris with a proven flair for understanding solution requirements
  • Java web frameworks, Grails and GWT, familiarity an advantage
  • Solid RDBMS development skills with Oracle and PostgreSQL
  • Familiar with modern software engineering methods such as XP, Agile, OO (business) analysis and design
  • Can engage with customers to accurately define problems and develop forward thinking solutions in a timely manner
