The IoT market has shown a steady growth over the past years strengthened by a diversification of use cases touching healthcare, automobile, transportation, manufacturing, energy, and others. The common denominator remains a good and secure telecom network that enables reliable connectivity and assigns the adequate resources to the specific use cases. Some IoT use cases require ultra-high reliability but generates low amounts of data. For others, latency, speed, and mobility is a must - and some are just happy with a best effort connectivity once in a while. In order to deliver the expected quality and avoid churn, a technology agnostic real time monitoring and analytics is required.

NEXUS extends its monitoring portfolio to IoT. Based on its enhanced NexusANALYTICS engine, the new application provides capabilities to investigate all the important aspects of IoT. The different dashboards give insight into the overall status - historical and online - the types of failures and device behavior. The geolocation feature allows to visualize all the details even on a map, to exactly know, which areas may be impacted by problems.

The immediate insight into the current system status allows to detect failures quickly and perform root cause analysis with the enhanced troubleshooting tools of NexusNETVIEW. Feeds can be provided to Umbrella systems or device management systems to react quickly on the problems and issues detected, e.g. blocking devices with aggressive or prohibited behavior. When combined with the Nexus AI engine, predictive surveillance with self-learning thresholds allows detecting problems before they have an impact on the overall IoT network.
